Directories

There are 3 types of directories and they are: Root Directory, Directory & Subdirectory.

1. ROOT DIRECTORY - The main directory of a drive.
EXAMPLES:
A:\> - the root directory of the A drive
C:\> - the root directory of the C drive
2. DIRECTORY - a "file folder" coming of the root directory
EXAMPLE:
C:\DOS> - the directory of DOS
3. SUBDIRECTORY - a directory within a directory
EXAMPLE:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM> - the system directory is the
subdirectory of WINDOWS
